State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr received on Saturday the dossier one of the commanders of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, detainee Naim Abass, along with the files of three other detainees, including a woman who was intercepted driving a booby-trapped car on the Labweh-Arsal road. Judge Saqr is expected to study the files in detail before the prosecution.
The Lebanese Armed Forces arrested the Palestinian national identified as Naim Abbas dubbed "the most dangerous terrorist in the country," while preliminary information revealed that Abbas had been at the receiving end of a network smuggling booby trapped cars from Omar al-Atrash. After his arrest, Abbas confessed the presence of an explosive-laden vehicle, which was later found and dismantled by Lebanese Armed Forces units. The vehicle was a black RAV 4 SUV loaded with explosives parked in a parking lot in the Corniche al-Mazraa region. LAF soldiers also intercepted on Wednesday 12 February a booby-trapped vehicle entering Lebanon through the border town of Arsal.
The Kia Rio, driven by a woman accompanied by two others, was dismantled by the LAF in the region of Labweh.
