US ambassador: Failure to commit to disassociation policy has tragic consequences on Lebanon

The US ambassador to Lebanon David Hale stressed Saturday that the United States supports the adoption of the Baabda Declaration and the disassociation policy, noting that “tragic consequences resulting from the failure to disassociate Lebanon from regional conflicts have spread across the Lebanese regions.”

Following his meeting with Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail, Hale pointed out that Washington strongly condemns the continuous violations committed by the Syrian army against Lebanon’s sovereignty.
