Fadlallah: Lebanon’s leadership on 'wrong path' deepening national divisions

Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc member MP Hassan Fadlallah said during a press conference at the Lebanese Parliament that the authorities in Beirut are “not qualified,” accusing them of prioritizing individual and sectarian interests over national interest.

He said the state is “excessively offering concessions to the enemy” and has entered a “wrong path that deepens divisions among the Lebanese population,” calling on the authorities to “reconsider their calculations and return to their people.”

He also claimed that the state had withdrawn the army from the south, leaving it “vulnerable,” and accused Israel of attempting to compensate for what he described as battlefield failure through negotiations in Washington.

Fadlallah further said Israel “is trying to compensate for its defeat on the ground through diplomacy.”
