Sources told An-Nahar newspaper on Sunday that the main Lebanese leaders may send representatives for the national dialogue table.

Sources added that reasons behind the call to hold the dialogue table is to renew the mandate of President Michel Sleiman, adding that March 8 camp refuses such idea.

• US ambassador Hale stresses importance of holding presidential elections on their due time-sources

Sources told al-Hayat newspaper on Sunday that the US ambassador to Lebanon David Hale met with Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam and the political leaders over the Lebanese pending issues.

Sources added that Hale reiterated the US support to Lebanon's stability and the holding the presidential elections on their due time, without any amendments being made to the constitution.

• Acharq al-Awsat newspaper says will publish top secret correspondence related to Lebanese detainees in Syrian prisons-sources

Acharq al-Awsat newspaper said on Sunday that it will publish top secret correspondence between the head of the Syrian National Security Bureau late Hicham Bekhtar and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad concerning the Lebanese detainees in Syrian prisons.

This as the Daily added that the correspondence reveals the involvement of some Lebanese leaders in this file.

The Daily added that such step aims at revealing the truth of some Arab regimes and Lebanese parties, voicing its hopes that the International community would react to such file.
