Arsal residents stage symbolic sit-in to denounce attacks against LAF
The residents of Arsal staged a symbolic sit in on Monday to denounce the recent attacks against the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The protesters raised the Lebanese flags and held banners with slogans supporting the army's role in protecting the country and marched from the entrance of Arsal toward the army checkpoint in the town.

This comes after a suicide bomber in an explosives-laden car targeted a Lebanese army checkpoint near the Syrian border on Saturday evening, killing three soldiers.

The attack in the Wadi Ata area near the eastern border town of Arsal came after forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad routed rebels from two Syrian villages lying just across the border.
