Minister Mashnouq says security plan implemented ‘in the best way possible’

Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq said on Saturday that the security plan will be implemented in Northern Bekaa and will end up in Beirut in a bid to stop aggression against the Lebanese people after several abductions were reported.

Following his meeting yesterday with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai, Mashnouq said Rai is keen to follow up on this file and to end this phenomenon.

Minister Mashnouq also stressed that the security plan is being implemented “in the best way possible” under the auspices of President Michel Sleiman, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Jean Kahwaji and the Internal Security Forces.
