Five persons charged with stealing vehicles arrested

The General Directorate of State Security arrested on Friday 5 persons accused of stealing 7 vehicles in the towns of Taalabaya- Saadnayel and Qob Elias and selling them to dealers in the Bekaa town of Britel in exchange of drugs.

Security forces have been seizing numerous stolen vehicles in the northeastern town of Arsal as well as in Bekaa where a security plan is being implemented.

Stolen vehicles have been the cause of many car bomb attacks taking place in several regions across the country.

These attacks are coming as a direct spillover of the Syrian crisis which has now entered its fourth year.
