Soueid to LBCI: Geagea’s candidacy for presidential elections is important

March 14 General-Secretariat Coordinator Fares Soueid stated on Monday that the candidacy of Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea for the upcoming presidential elections is an important issue, emphasizing that the competition is between the state and its constitution from one side, and those who want to impose the authority of arms on the Lebanese state from another side.

Soueid told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that March 14 forces adhered to the authority of arms for a short period of time seemingly since they were seeking stability in Lebanon.

On another note, Soueid pointed out that the participation of Hezbollah Liaison and Coordination official, Hajj Wafik Safa in the security meeting which was held on Saturday at the Interior Ministry is not acceptable even though Minister Nouhad Mashnouq is exerting efforts to maintain Lebanon’s stability and security.
