President Michel Sleiman lauded on Thursday all workers for the occasion of Labor Day, hoping that the upcoming days would bring forth “blessings and stability."
In this context, Sleiman noted that “the workers represent the backbone of the nation and its economy,” stressing that they have every right to demand that their situation be improved.
“However, one must take into consideration the interest of the state’s treasury, which once ensured, the citizens’ interests would be served and their demands met,” he said.
