PM Salam considers presidential entitlement ‘a great challenge’
Prime Minister Tammam Salam stated on Friday that Lebanon is being influenced by both the regional and international circumstances, stressing that electing a new president will help change the entire situation in the country.

In this regard, PM Salam mentioned that the parliament’s failure to elect a new president will lead to further deterioration, emphasizing that “the country stands before a difficult phase and a great challenge, which is the presidential entitlement.”

“Security remains a priority for the current cabinet, and all Lebanese factions represented through the cabinet agree on the importance and urgency of the matter at hand,” PM Salam told a delegation of Lebanese ambassadors headed by Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil.

Salam also stressed the necessity of addressing issues pertaining to the continuous influx of Syrian refugees, stating that this dossier has various political sides that require a unified stance.
