President Sleiman says cooperation is key with Hezbollah SG Nasrallah
Lebanese President Michel Sleiman said on Saturday that cooperation is key with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah; however, within the framework of the defense strategy agreed upon in the Baabda Declaration.

Sleiman's comments were made during a popular and political ceremony held in Mokhtara to consolidate reconciliation between Christians and Druze.

"The Bkerke national charter goes in line with the Baabda Declaration," he said, adding that cooperation with National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt will continue.

Afterwards, Sleiman headed for Deir al-Qamar to lay the foundation stone to the “Deir al-Qamar Governmental Hospital,” where he stressed that his relation with Jumblatt will remain firm, noting that moderation is a key for stability.

“We will help the new president in continuing the implementation of the Baabda Declaration, the defense strategy and the armament of the Lebanese Armed Forces,” he said, calling on the deputies to elect a new president before the deadline.

On another note, Sleiman stated that the LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi will travel to Saudi Arabia later today in order to sign the agreement between the Lebanese army, Saudi Arabia and France, and which allows the implementation of the 3-billion-dollar deal.
