LU’s contractors call on authorities to grant them tenure

The Lebanese University contract professors staged on Wednesday a sit-in in Riad al-Solh Square, in order to urge the authorities to grant them full-time employment.

In a statement read during the sit-in, the protesters stressed that they will not return to the university until they are granted permanent tenure, calling on Prime Minister Tammam Salam to approve a draft law pertaining to their situation in the upcoming cabinet session.
