Suspected killer, rapist arrested in Lebanon's Halba

A patrol of Halba judicial unit arrested on Monday a man suspected of being involved in the rape and killing of 5-year-old child Mohammad Khawli, the state-run National News Agency reported.

Investigations are underway with the crime's main suspect, the agency added.

The blood-stained body of 5-year-old child Mohammad Khawli was found on Sunday inside a waste container in the Lebanese town of Halba.

Investigations revealed that the victim’s death occurred after he was raped and stabbed several times, adding that citizen Nour Mahmoud Ayash handed himself over to security forces after admitting that he stabbed Khawli.
