Cabinet convenes at Grand Serail in fourth session since presidential vacuum
The cabinet convened on Thursday at the Grand Serail in the fourth session since the presidential vacuum kicked off.

The session was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tammam Salam and in the presence of all the ministers, except Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq and Economy Minister Alain Hakim.

Following the cabinet session, Minister of Information Ramzi Jreij said that the meeting was held amid " the presidential vacuum and dangerous regional development."

He also asserted that the government will remain united facing the challenges facing the country.

Jreij noted that the Minister of Finance submitted his plan for the 2014 state budget.

He concluded by saying that further discussions will be held over the manner in which the government's role need to be made.
