Lebanese army raids Syrian refugee camps in Arsal
The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that the Lebanese Armed Forces raided Syrian refugee camps in Arsal and its outskirts in search of wanted individuals.

Since the eruption of the Syrian revolt in March 2011, Arsal has been considered a main conduit for refugees, rebels and injured people fleeing war-torn Syria.

Over 1 million of Syrians are in Lebanon, leaving Lebanon, home to 4.5 million people, struggling to cope with the massive influx of refugees.

Arsal, located on the northeastern border region of Lebanon is host to many of Syria's refugees and is also feared to have become a safe haven for many of the fighters who regularly enter and exit the town to fight inside Syrian territories.
