Lebanese man gets 9 months in prison for beating wife
Hussein Ftouni, a Lebanese man accused of beating his wife Tamara Harisi, was sentenced to nine months in prison and fined 20 million LBP.

Ftouni was sanctioned for beating and abusing his wife, according to KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation, a Non-Governmental Organization.

On June 7, a Lebanese woman identified as Tamara Harisi, 22, was rushed to al-Zahraa hospital after she was severely beaten by her husband.

Hussein Ftouni, 30, was held under investigation after he turned himself in to the Ouzai police station.

It is worth noting that Tamara has been repeatedly beaten by her husband who attempted to also set her on fire.
