Lebanese army arrests several fugitives in Tripoli

Lebanese Armed Forces members conducted raids in the northern city of Tripoli on Monday, arresting fugitives wanted for several charges.

The fugitives were identified as Ali Hassan al-Nemri, Fayez Fawwaz Osman, Raja Mohammad Tawfik Hijazi, Wissam Mohammad Tawfik Hijazi and Mahmoud Mohammad Ghassan Abdul Rahim.

The men are accused of throwing hand grenades at restaurants as well as terrorizing citizens.

Also in Tripoli, the military arrested Sudanese national Adolf Nicolas Nilook and Tunisian national Nader Bin Omar Bin Mohammad al-Biri on charges of residing in Lebanon without legitimate documentation.

The men are also suspected of being involved in attacks and security breaches.

Investigations are ongoing with the detainees under the supervision of the concerned judiciary.
