Minister Bou Saab to LBCI: There is no serious dealing with LU issue until present

Minister of Education Elias Bou Saab said on Saturday that there is no personal dispute with Minister of Labor Sejaan Azzi.

Bou Saab added voiced regrets that the Lebanese University issue is being tackled outside the Lebanese parliament.

Bou Saab's comments were made during a phone call with Nharkom Said TV show in which he noted that some political sides do not want to approve the demands of the Lebanese University professors.

Bou Saab concluded by saying that there is no serious dealing with the Lebanese University issue until present.

LU contract professors have been on a continuous sit-in, calling for permanent tenure at the university.

The professors said their movement will not end unless the Parliament meets their demands, stressing that they will be taking escalatory measures.
