Arrestee dies from drugs overdose in Tripoli
The Internal Security Forces Command issued on Sunday a communiqué in which it said that a suspect died in the northern city of Tripoli's Abi Samra police station, adding that the cause of the death was drugs overdose.

The communiqué noted that the Intelligence Bureau members arrested on Saturday in Qabr al-Zeina in Abi Samra M. R. (22) on charges of carrying out robbery operations at gunpoint.

The statement added that the arrestee was handed over to Abi Samra police station where he was referred to Tripoli's Justice Palace for questioning.

The statement pointed out that when the suspect entered the interrogation room his health deteriorate, adding that he was then submitted to a nearby hospital but he shortly passed away.

"An offender, who shared the same jail cell with the suspect, said that he informed him that he had consumed a bottle of Benzhexol drug so that he wouldn't be charged with trafficking," the statement added.

Two forensic doctors examined the body and blood and urine samples were taken to carry out  tests to determine the death reason.
