Berri and Mikati discuss latest developments

Speaker Nabih Berri met with PM Najib Mikati to discuss the overall situation and a number of tabled issues.

Berri also met with the Secretary General of the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council Nasri Khoury to look into the latest developments in Syria.

Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abu Faour briefed the Speaker on the general atmosphere of the meeting that was held between the Progressive Socialist Party and Hezbollah. Abu Faour said that the meeting’s goal was to strengthen relations between both parties and launch a dialogue in the country.

Faour stressed that the most important thing is the protection of internal stability which can only be guaranteed around the dialogue table.
