Minister Rifi demands following up on videos allegedly depicting gunmen killing soldiers

Minister of Justice Ashraf Rifi demanded on Wednesday a follow up on the videos allegedly depicting Lebanese soldiers and security forces being subjected to torture, circulated on social media platforms.

On Tuesday, the Army Command- Orientation Directorate issued a statement, whereby it said that videos posted on social media platforms depicting gunmen brutally killing and torturing soldiers are false and were taped during events that took place outside Lebanon.

The Army Command added that troops seen in the said videos and photos were not members of the Lebanese Army.
