MP Kanaan to LBCI: FPM's proposal relieves Lebanon's presidency from pressure

Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan said his bloc's proposal to elect a new president directly by the people relieves the country's presidency from pressure and makes Christians more confident with the role they play in Lebanon.

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show on Sunday, MP Kanaan said the parliament has failed to represent the will of the people and to steer clear of pressure.

"Change and Reform bloc's proposal could constitute a permanent solution," he added.
