ISF General Directorate circulates photo of man suspected of killing Lebanese citizen

The Internal Security Forces' General Directorate circulated on Thursday the photo of a Lebanese detainee who is believed to have murdered citizen Elie Kfoury in Jal El Dib on August 26.

The detainee, identified by his initials as A. Ch., was born in 1982 and has confessed to committing 15 theft operations at knife-point.

Accordingly, the General Directorate called on citizens who fell victim to the detainee's acts to head to the Jdaydeh judicial center near the Palace of Justice or alternatively call the following numbers: 01/900391, 01/900390, 01/901203.

On August 26, the Internal Security Forces said it arrested at the Bourj Hospital one of the two men suspected in the murder of citizen Elie Kfoury.

Earlier in the day, Elie Kfoury was shot dead in a robbery incident executed by two assailants riding a motorcycle near the victim’s shop in Jal el-Dib.

In the details, the two assailants were attempting to rob a commercial shop at approximately 10:30 am in the area of Jal el-Dib, near the Saint Takla Church, when a man sensed their presence, prompting their hasty escape.

The two randomly opened fire mistakenly injuring 52-year-old Kfoury, who succumbed to the gunshot wounds.
