Twitter deactivates account of group kidnapping Lebanese troops
Social media website Twitter deactivated the account speaking on behalf of al-Nusra Front in al-Qalamoun region, particularly the group which is holding the Lebanese soldiers hostages.

The al-Qaeda-linked group used the account to release statements, audio recordings and videos of the abducted troops.

Twitter had previously deactivated several accounts belonging to groups affiliated with al-Nusra Front, the Islamic State or other extremist groups.
