Lebanese army opens fire at motorcycle in Arsal, two arrested

The Lebanese army opened fire on Thursday at a motorcycle in the northeastern town of Arsal after it failed to stop at the Wadi Hmeid checkpoint, the state-run National News Agency reported.

Two men were on board the motorcycle, one of whom, from al-Hujeiri family, was wounded and arrested while the other managed to escape.

In a separate incident, the Lebanese Armed Forces arrested Ibrahim Bohloq at Arsal's Wadi Hmeid checkpoint on charges of involvement in the clashes that erupted in the border town in August.

Investigations are underway with him.
