March 14 camp calls on Hezbollah to put an end to authoritative duality in the country
The March 14 forces called on Hezbollah on Wednesday to put an end to “authoritative duality manifest in the presence of two armies and two decisions in one country.”

In a statement issued after its weekly meeting, the March 14 General Secretariat noted that “national solidarity with the army, especially by the residents of Tripoli, Dinniyeh, Minieh and Akkar, proved once again how much these regions are committed to Lebanon.”

The Lebanese army has tightened its grip in North Lebanon after unprecedented deadly fighting with Islamist armed men in Tripoli, Minieh and Akkar over the weekend.

The general secretariat hailed these regions for supporting “the state and the army that must have no other partners in preserving security in Lebanon.”

“If Hezbollah is honest about its admiration for the Lebanese army it must end the duality of 'two armies and two decisions in one country' and hand over its arms to the Lebanese state, in line with the Taef Accord and [United Nations Security Council] Resolutions 1559 and 1701,” the general secretariat concluded by saying.
