Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi said Saturday that the extension of the Parliament’s mandate is an integral part of the process of obstruction of the system and free will, which has been taking place since the coup against the government of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri until today.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nahrkom Said, Azzi noted that the current cabinet is not a regular cabinet, but a presidential council in the absence of a president, pointing out that the resignation of the Maronite ministers would bring in further presidential vacuum.
In this regard, the minister stressed that there is a decision that aims at hindering the presidential elections, in a bid to disrupt the work of the Lebanese state and to weaken the Christians in Lebanon. “The Christians of Lebanon can only be saved by changing the Christian political class, since it only produces conflicts and disputes between the Christians themselves,” he added.
