MP Jaber to LBCI: The Problem lies in implementing laws, not passing them

MP Yassin Jaber stressed Saturday that the main reason behind the failure to pass the food safety law is the refusal of a number of concerned ministers to give up their powers, hoping that the subcommittee will be activated today to resolve this issue.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Jaber noted that the problem is that even if the law was passed, it implementation will fail, pointing out that the parliament has passed 31 laws that have not yet been implemented yet.

However, MP Jaber expressed support for the efforts of Health Minister Wael Abou Faour, stressing the importance of continuity through founding institutions tasked with handling these cases, so that the work does not halt when governments change.
