The Internal Security Forces Directorate General declared Monday that the Judicial Police's anti-human trafficking and moral protection bureau received information concerning a prostitution ring run by a man who employs his underage wife and two other women in the regions of Tabarja and Jounieh.
The ISF statement added that security forces managed to arrest the suspects red-handed, following the authorization of the concerned judiciary.
The arrestees were identified by their initials as 36-year-old Syrian national Z. A., his 14-year-old Syrian wife A. S., as well as two Iraqi sisters, 19-year-old R. T. and 31-year-old R. T.
During the interrogations, the man confessed to employing his wife in prostitution, while the Iraqi women said that they sometimes practiced prostitution without an agent.
