The Union Coordinating Committee said Friday that there are attempts to harm its reputation before the public, stressing that the assessment sessions showed that the committee achieved many accomplishments, even though the pay scale was never passed by Parliament.
In a press conference, the UCC noted that the politicians are expressing disregard to our keenness on guaranteeing a calm academic year, which may lead us to resort to street protests again.
“The delay in announcing the upcoming movements, which are expected to resume after the holidays, is due to the difficult security situation in the country,” the committee added.
The UCC added that the employees must be granted their rights, explaining that the development of the salaries in accordance with the inflation rate is a normal mechanism that maintains economic growth.
On another note, the committee said that it will resume its contacts with the parliamentary blocs in order to hasten the approval of the pay scale.
