PM Salam chairs cabinet session at the Grand Serail

A cabinet session was held on Tuesday at the Grand Serail chaired by Prime Minister Tammam Salam.

Following the session, Minister of Information Ramzi Jreij said that Salam reiterated his call on the necessity of electing a new president for the country, given the presidential post's importance for the work of state’s institutions.

Jreij also noted that Salam voiced hopes that the abducted Lebanese troops would be released as soon as possible.

On another note, Jreij declared that the cabinet decided to postpone debate over the issue of solid waste management for further assessment.

He also stressed that the cabinet approved requests from some ministries on accepting grants offered by foreign governments and institutions.
