According to LBCI’s reporter and news anchor Yazbek Wehbe, Lebanon will witness a long-lasting snowstorm with very strong winds and intense snowfall, starting Monday January 5.
Wehbe posted a detailed report on his Facebook page concerning the weather conditions over the upcoming days.
On Tuesday, Lebanon is set to witness heavy rainfall in the coastal regions, which will lead to floods and a decrease in temperature, while the snow is expected to reach 1000 meters above sea level.
On Wednesday, strong and cold winds will reach the Eastern Mediterranean region, with snow expected to fall in regions located 800 meters above sea level, and by Thursday morning, the snowfall is expected to hit regions at 600 and 500 meters of altitude due to low temperature.
In this context, the temperature is expected to hit -5 degrees on Thursday night in areas at 1000 meters of altitude, and 3 degrees in coastal regions, leading to the formation of ice.
