Patriarch Rai holds Sunday mass in Bkerke, prays for peace in Lebanon and Middle East

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai expressed his hope on Sunday that peace prevails over Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and all countries of the Middle East.

During a mass held at Bkerke, Patriarch Rai stated that Lebanese officials should elect a president capable of ensuring national unity among Muslims and Christians in a bid to bolsters the work of state institutions and restore the prestige of the constitution.
