Health Ministry agents inspect Lebanon restaurants, seize expired food
Health Ministry and State Security agents inspected restaurants in Beirut and Mount Lebanon on Saturday and seized spoiled foodstuff that entered the Lebanese territories via a Syrian dealer.

“Health Ministry agents found at al-Mzar Restaurant in Bochriyeh 21 pieces of expired brain meat and 15 kilos of expired chili pepper that were bought from a Syrian dealer,” ministry sources told LBCI.

“47 kilos of expired chili pepper were also found at Mazat Restaurant in Mkalles,” the sources said.

“Al-Zaghloul restaurant in Galery Semaan had attempted to purchase expired chili pepper from the Syrian dealer but the concerned authorities arrested the latter, thwarting thus the operation,” the same sources added.
