Future bloc head Siniora says Nasrallah’s statements eliminate will of Lebanese people

Head of Future bloc Fouad Siniora denounced on Saturday the speech that was delivered yesterday by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, saying his remarks on shattering rules of engagement with Israel were “hasty and individual”.

“Nasrallah’s speech eliminates the will of the Lebanese people,” Siniora said during a seminar on martyr Mohammed Shatah, noting that “no party is allowed to make decisions on behalf of the Lebanese state and citizens”.

Hezbollah SG Nasrallah said on Friday that the Shi’ite group no longer recognizes the rules of engagement with Israel, adding “it has the right to respond to Israeli attacks in any way or time it deems appropriate”.

The Future bloc head also slammed the heavy gunfire that erupted shortly before Nasrallah’s speech, urging the security apparatuses to arrest those who opened fire and caused material damage.
