Abou Faour to LBCI: Ready for personal action in closure of disputed Masharafiye depot
The state-run National News Agency NNA reported that inspectors from the Health Ministry were assaulted on Tuesday while inspecting a warehouse in the region of Msharafiye in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs.

NNA added that the inspectors had intended to shut down the depot seemingly since it did not comply with food safety standards.

Following the incident, Minister Abou Faour told LBCI that he asked the ministry’s inspectors to continue their work, adding that he is ready to head down to Msharafiye in person to ensure the closure of the depot.
