Lebanese man fakes own kidnapping to get USD 1,400

A Lebanese citizen faked on Tuesday his own kidnapping so that he could rip off the amount of USD 1,400.

Surveillance cameras showed that Elie Aoun parked his own pick-up truck near Bank Audi in the Chtaura region and then left by himself.

No further details were provided.
