Saudi Arabia condemns Israeli operations in Lebanon, calls for international action

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned what it described as Israeli aggression against Lebanese territory, rejecting what it called Israeli incursions and violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty.

In a statement, the ministry urged the international community to assume its responsibilities in halting the escalation and to put an end to Israeli military movements aimed at expanding within Lebanese territory.

Saudi Arabia stressed the importance of protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and its people in accordance with relevant international agreements, reaffirming support for the implementation of the Taif Agreement as a framework to ensure full state authority over all Lebanese territory.

The statement also underscored the need to adhere to Lebanese government decisions aimed at restricting weapons exclusively to state institutions, saying this is essential to restoring security and stability in the country.
