MP Jumblatt says didn’t bet on Americans for regime change in Syria
National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt stressed on Monday that he “didn’t bet, not even once, on Americans” regarding the regime change in Syria.

“To the contrary, I advised all those who bet on it to stop doing so since the U.S. doesn’t care about the peoples’ interests but only its own,” MP Jumblatt said in his weekly statement to Al-Anbaa newspaper.

“From [American diplomat] Henry Kissinger to [U.S. Secretary of State] John Kerry, and from [late Syrian President] Hafez al-Assad to [Syrian President] Bashar al-Assad, the players have changed but the policy remains one,” he added.
