Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea stressed Thursday that the presidential election iaauw is “one of many other matters proposed on the dialogue table between the Lebanese Forces and the Free Patriotic Movement.”
“We insist on pursuing talks with the FPM on a political level, though progress is very slow,” he said, adding that an agreement has not yet been reached regarding the matter at hand.
During a press conference held in Maarab, Geagea expressed his relief over the course of developments of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, adding that the STL is an entity that has proven transparency in its performance and commitment to the Lebanese and international law.
Responding to the speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Geagea asked “where does Lebanon's national interest stand in attacking Saudi Arabia, and how has the Kingdom wronged Lebanon?”
He noted that Saudi Arabia does not need to stand defense for its reputation.
