Lebanese truckers trapped in Jeddah call on Lebanese authorities to resolve their case
The Lebanese truckers, trapped in Saudi Arabia, called on the Lebanese authorities to act in a bid to expedite their return home.

In this regard, the delegate from the Lebanese Consulate in Jeddah, Ziad Atallah, was tasked with following up on the issue of the truckers upon the request of Agriculture Minister Akram Chouhayeb.

Lebanese truck drivers have been recently facing difficulties in crossing borders.

Several were trapped at Nassib crossing on the Syrian-Jordanian border after its closure, but managed to return home following diplomatic efforts.

But 120 truck drivers stranded at al-Omari crossing along the Saudi Arabian-Jordanian borders remain stranded after several weeks.
