Lebanon’s Health Ministry probes children poisoning cases at Aintoura school
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health has opened an investigation into children poisoning cases reported at St. Joseph School in Aintoura while a team inspected the building and took water samples.

“It was revealed that children did not eat any food that may cause poisoning,” the ministry said in a statement Friday, adding “there is no cafeteria at the school campus”.

The Health Ministry also asked hospitals where children are receiving treatment to conduct specific tests in order to unveil the reasons behind the poisoning.

For its part, the school has denied that poisoning cases were reported at its campus, urging the media to seek accuracy in transmitting information.
