Lebanon’s Industry Minister says economic concern outweighed by security, political challenges

Minister of Industry Hussein Hajj Hassan said on Monday that economic concerns are being overlooked given the political and security pressures outweighing them.

“The unstable security situation and the country's political chaos are taking their toll on the country's economy,” Hassan said in an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV Show.

The minister added that exports have declined by approximately 7-10% due to rising local consumption.
