Lebanese army arrests a Lebanese, four Syrians over links to terror groups

The Lebanese army arrested a Lebanese national and Four Syrians suspected of having links to terrorist groups, the military command said on Sunday.

An army unit arrested in the border town of Arsal on Saturday Abdel Rahman Mohammed Ghdadi on charges of transporting three Syrians from the outskirts of the town into Lebanon, according to a communiqué.

The three Syrians are suspected of belonging to a terrorist group.

An army patrol also arrested a Syrian national identified as Ahmed al-Mohammed for belonging to a terrorist group.

The five arrestees were transferred to the concerned authority for further investigation.
