Mufti Derian says no one may bear the repercussions of a sectarian strife

Grand Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian stated Tuesday that he will not allow the fomenting of strife between Muslims in Lebanon, pointing out that no party has the capability to bear its repercussions.

Following a meeting with the Druze Sheikh, Akel Naim Hassan, Derian noted that all officials agreed that Israel is the sole beneficiary of the region's disintegration.

For his part, Sheikh Hassan emphasized the importance of uniting efforts to serve all Lebanon in its entirety.
