Minister Derbass stresses via LBCI importance of restoring work of institutions

Social Affairs Minister Rashid Derbass reiterated on Friday the importance of restoring the work of all state institutions.

Commenting on the latest speech delivered by Change and Reform Bloc Leader MP Michel Aoun, Minister Derbass told LBCI’s Nharkom Said that “those who are against any compromise have no prospect but to impose their will.”

“We should learn from past experiences that when it comes to politics, a compromise is always a good choice,” Minister Derbass said.

On Thursday, MP Michel Aoun said “the government did not honor the constitution and the laws,” noting that it has started to act as a “dictatorial” cabinet.

Aoun stressed that “mistakes are being repeatedly committed and this time through the extension of the army chief’s mandate rather than the appointment of someone who deserves it,” accusing the cabinet of “toppling the National Pact.”
