Grand Mufti Daryan reiterates support to PM Salam in Eid al-Fitr sermon

Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel Latif Daryan delivered on Friday his Eid al-Fitr sermon whereby he called on all the Lebanese to have patience and have confidence in the nation.

He also reiterated support to Prime Miniter Tammam Salam’s stances that call to preserve the nation’s interests.

“Salam put up with huge problems, we should continue to preserve what's left of legitimate state institutions,” he noted.

Daryan on Thursday announced that Friday, July 17 is the first day of Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, as the Lebanese army declared that it will tighten its security measures in all regions across Lebanon for the occasion.
