Minister of Public Works and Transportation laments negligence prevalent at Beirut Airport
Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Zeaiter lamented on Friday the negligence prevalent at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport "due to the absence of a committee and the lack of experts."

“Companies are not completing their tasks as they should, especially the one designated with the cleaning services,” he indicated.

In a press conference addressing aviation safety, Minister Ghazi Zeaiter revealed an action plan to be implemented in the coming week aiming to regulate the airport’s work mechanism.

“I hope we achieve the desired results because airport work safety is among our priorities,” he said.

The minister clarified that activating the technical and administrative work at the airport requires modifications in working methods.

‘The ministry is concerned with applying all the international agreements and national resolutions regarding the airport's safety,” he said.
