Lebanese director Lucien Bou Rjeily leaves hospital, vows escalatory steps
Lebanese director and You Stink campaign activist Lucien Bou Rjeily left on Wednesday the hospital after being administrated on Tuesday for sustaining serious wounds after security forces entered the Ministry of Environment to disperse a peaceful sit-in held by the movement.

Bou Rjeily called on Minister of Interior Nouhad Mashnouq and Minister of Environment Mohammad Mashnouq to submit evidence proving that security forces attacked the protesters inside the ministry’s building.

“The ministers must submit proof or else let them submit their resignations,” he added.

He also stressed that they will continue holding sit-ins and protests, adding that they will take escalatory steps until their demands are met.
On Tuesday, riot police forcibly removed demonstrators who had occupied the environment ministry in central Beirut, which left several activists injured.

Police progressively moved the several dozen protesters from the "You Stink" campaign from the eighth floor of the building in downtown Beirut.

The Lebanese Red Cross said around 15 protesters were offered first aid on the spot while activists Lucien Bou Rjeily and Neamat Bader el-Din were rushed to a nearby hospital.
