As the Lebanese government continues to grapple with the waste management crisis, for the second month since the closure of the Naameh landfill and the consequential accumulation of wastes across various residential streets and regions, garbage related illnesses among citizens, are increasingly being reported and seem to be on the rise.
Nausea, diarrhea and intestinal infections are only a few of the cases that have been reported thus far.
